I ♥ Faces Week #51 - Outtakes

AND may all your Christmas's be bright....

All these pics with the exception of my gdaughter and the marshmallows (gingerbread houses are a another set of outtakes) were taken Christmas eve. When you have 7 kids {6 are married}, and 12 grand kids you are bound to have a ton of outtakes! Believe it or not Christmas eve was lots of fun but...you'd never know it from these pics!
A Gma takes what she gets!

Hello winter solstice!

{photo: Lela Williams}

People all over the world are celebrating The Winter Solstice today. John and I celebrate because it is our anniversary! 18 years of wedded bliss! Actually, John and I met exactly 20 years. Amazing how time flies. I was going to post a pic of our wedding but....they are still packed away in the POD. Yup that means the basement still isn't done.

On a brighter note...besides celebrating our anniversary I love this day because the days start getting longer-YEAH!

{The Winter Solstice occurs exactly when the earth's axial tilt is farthest away from the sun at its maximum of 23° 26'. Though the Winter Solstice lasts an instant in time, the term is also colloquially used like The first day of winter to refer to the day on which it occurs. More evident to those in high latitudes, this is the shortest day, and longest night, and the sun's daily maximum position in the sky is the lowest.[1] The seasonal significance of the Winter Solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. Depending on the shift of the calendar, the winter solstice occurs some time between December 21 and December 22 each year in the Northern Hemisphere, and between June 20 and June 21 in the Southern Hemisphere.}

Week 49 @ iheartfaces.com is "Pets Only".

"Shall we Dance" ... This is Bear and his sweetheart Roxie dancing together in the snow. They truly are in love! Roxie escapes on a regular basis to see Bear. He knows when she is outside and looses all doogie sense when he's with her.

This beautiful baby boy was my first attempt at taking a "baby photo" for someone other than my family. "Baby boy" was only two weeks old and his mommy wanted a pic to give his "proud papa" (1st boy). To see more sweet faces and incredibly talented photo bugs clic the button below...

Week 47 - “We ♥ Tooshies” Photo Challenge

(clic the pic)
I am in sunny CA. WOO HOO. I have been wanting to be at the beach all summer long and here I am! The sun was setting and there were a couple of surfers watching the waves. I caught the pic of his tooshie and part of his face. I was thrilled! There is nothing like the ocean to clear your mind and soul.
